You'll be in County Kerry within our 30 mile radius, and it's just a short hop along to the own of Listowel, famous for its Writers Week held from 28th May - 1st June 2014 with literary events and workshops and wonderful Irish and international writer guests. Listowel is a lovely, authentic Irish town and worth a visit at any time of the year - although the historic horse racing festival is a sight to behold - the 2014 Harvest Festival will run from Sunday 14th – Saturday 20th September and our two day meeting will run from Sunday June 1st – Monday June 2nd.

The beaches and golf courses of Ballybunion and the coast of County Kerry is a wonderful day trip, as is an outing to Tralee & Dingle with a tour of Slea Head looking out onto the wild Atlantic Ocean.

When you have collected a just-laid hen's egg, cuddled a baby piglet, fed a pony, visited happy pigs in the field, you have an experience to treasure for ever, an experience that is both pastoral, but also philosophical.
