Caroline's Scones
Enjoy the smell of warm freshly baked scones when you are a guest at Rigney's Farm.
Our scones are very popular with our visitors.
Ingredients
- 350g or 2 1/2 cups of self-raising flour
- 60g or 1/4 cup of butter
- 55g or 1/4 cup of sugar
- 100g or 1/2 cup of cherries
- 175g or 1 cup of vine fruits (raisins or sultanas)
- 1 cup of milk
- 2 eggs
Method
Mix all the dry ingredients, and add 2 eggs and enough milk to form a soft (not sticky) dough.
Shape and bake in a moderate oven (180 C) for 20 minutes
Serve warm with butter and preserves.
